FIRM The firm provides counseling on a variety of internet-related areas including intellectual property, high-tech employment issues, and administrative law matters, such as those involving the Federal Trade Commission. The firm also litigates as necessary, focusing on issues such as domain name litigation, online defamation, and employment disputes. Mr. Bender has experience in a variety of areas at the intersection of law and technology, and has litigated in both federal and state courts. Before entering the private practice of law, Mr. Bender served on the professional staff of the Carnegie Commission on Science, Technology, and Government, where he was lead staff member to the regulatory subgroup of the Commission's Task Force on Science and Technology in Judicial and Regulatory Decision Making. Mr. Bender serves on the Advisory Board of Pike & Fisher's (BNA) Internet Law and Regulation. He has given numerous speeches and briefings to legal and other audiences including the U.S. Congress. Mr. Bender is also the author of several published articles. Mr. Bender is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, New York, and the United States Supreme Court. Reported case: Cooley v. United States, NO. 93-413L (C.F.C April 28, 2000)(client awarded $2+ million dollars plus attorney's fees)(of counsel). |
